Some silliness for a change (not mine)

The Hokey Pokey (as written by W. Shakespeare)

O proud left foot, that ventures quick within.
Then soon upon a backward journey lithe.
Anon, once more the gesture, then begin:
Command sinistral pedestal to writhe.
Commence thou then the fervid Hokey-Pokey,
A mad gyration, hips in wanton swirl. To spin!
A wilde release from Heaven's yoke.
Blessed dervish! Surely thou canst go, girl.
The Hoke, the poke -- banish now thy doubt.
Verily, I say, 'tis what it's all about.

Dean,

What a hoot! Can't you just hear it, with the crumhorns and sackbutts playing the bass, recorders and cornamuse doubling the melody, lute and virginal carrying the harmony and the tabor keeping time!

Thanks Alan.....sometimes the "good old days" seem in retrospect to be good, indeed. All hail the musically literate!...........(Oh, pissboy!)
