in light of the last two elections in this country, is the reason that if the electoral process does not change drastically in the next two-four years, I intend never to vote again.

I don't agree with you politically but I still love your poetry.
I wish I could duly chastise you for this opinion, but I can't. I'm not too far away from the same decision myself. I have always looked upon voting as not a right, but a priviledge, and have not missed a vote since I turned eighteen.
But with the spin doctors, the liars, the media, the uninformed citizens ready to follow the lead lemming off the cliff, I must admit to a sense of futility about it all.
It never has been easy being an idealist, even less so these days. And it's going to get even more difficult. So time will tell for me if this futility will pass.
